Kozhikode City police falls under Kannur Range which comes under North Zone.

       Kozhikode City Police Unit is divided into 3 sub divisions for law and order and administration Kozhikode Town,Medical College and Feroke. 19 Police Stations comes under these three sub divisions . For the effective enforcement of traffic in Kozhikode City a separate traffic unit is functioning. In addition to this, Special Branch, DCRB, Juvenile Wing, Crime Detachment, Narcotic Cell, Control Room, Cyber PS and District Head Quarters are also functioning. Coastal Police Station is also started functioning at Beypore and Elathur
